For example, if you own a plumbing business called Fred & Partners, your page name should be “Fred & Partners Plumbing.” This way, your page is more likely to pop up as a result when a user searches for “plumbing.”

2. Write a Compelling Description

A good description allows people to quickly find the information they’re looking for. Users should be able to immediately understand the purpose of your company by reading your profile description. Not only should it be compelling, but it should also be optimized with keywords to help your account get found through the search bar.

Don’t rely on guesswork, write several variations of your description and ask for input from others. To find the best message, conduct A/B tests on a pay-per-click ad campaign to see which language gets the most engagement.

3. Update Your Profile Picture

7. Verify Your Account

Many social networks allow businesses to verify their account. Account verification increases your profile’s credibility. However, some websites (like Instagram and Twitter) are harder to get verified on than others (like Facebook and Pinterest).
