Fantas-TICO TV Advertising

The Problem

TICO is the Travel Industry Council of Ontario; a government-appointed agency that, amongst other things, certifies and regulates travels agent. Previous advertising efforts had raised awareness a bit but had failed to give Ontarians an understanding of the benefits of booking travel with a TICO-registered agent.

The Fix

Everyone has high hopes for their ‘big trip’ and fear that it will go horribly wrong. The campaign introduced the benefits of Ontario registered travel agents’ knowledge, integrity and professionalism by introducing the language of TICO in a very branded way: when you book with a TICO-registered travel agent your vacation will be Fantis-TICO.

Powerful TV 

TICO represents all travel agents in Ontario so TV allowed us to cover the whole province at a reasonable cost while delivering the stunning visuals we associate with travel.

Gorgeous Magazine

A series of gorgeous glossy magazine ads showed how the new TICO language rolled out and provided further targeted reach to seniors and other markets with a focus on travel. 

Pay-Per-Click Advertising

An aggressive pay-per-click advertising campaign allowed us to get our message of TICO travel assurance right to online searchers at the exact moment they were looking to book their travel.

A campaign was designed to bring the TICO campaign and message of travel assurance and professional to the attention of influential media sources.
